Tom: Welcome to the Last Visit First Podcast, live from the Home Care Home Base User Conference in Orlando, Florida. First guest, Hannah Pearson. Welcome to the show, Hannah.
Hannah: Thank you, Tom. Thanks for having me. Yeah, what are we doing here?
Tom: Yeah, what are we doing here?
Hannah: We are here to have the most incredible users conference ever. It's our 20th anniversary. So we'll have a keynote this afternoon. We'll kick off with some education sessions. We have an executive track to accompany our clinical and operational sessions. So we're excited.
Tom: It's our twentieth anniversary. Exciting. So we'll have a keynote. Let's talk about the fun. What's gonna happen for fun?
Hannah: Tonight there is an event on the outdoor lawn. It's called Barrels and Bottles. It'll be a bourbon and wine event. There's an acoustic guitarist that'll be strolling through. And then tomorrow night is the big event. So at SeaWorld, we will be hosting a handful of artists for a glow party. It's exciting. Bring white. Bring all white.
Tom: That's exciting. I had to bring white, so I brought white. It'll be exciting. I don't know what a glow party is, but it sounds fun. I heard the bands are gonna be amazing. So how many people are here, and talk more about the vendors, talk about the customers?
Hannah: I hope so. Absolutely. We have about five hundred people here, about fifty or so executives, quite a few vendors this year. It's been really awesome to see vendors show up. So we're excited about our village, or our marketplace, kind of our trade show floor. I wish you guys could see it. It's spread out over the room, just lots of energy, lots of incredible vendors here to make this a great event.
Tom: So historically this has always been in Dallas, right? I know the first show we did away from Dallas, and then we brought it to Dallas because we wanted more people to come. What made you guys choose Orlando this year?
Hannah: Yeah, we've been trying to mix it up. So the last several years we've chosen different cities just to create some additional interest. It's twenty years, right? There's so many things you can do in Dallas that are exciting. But this year's Orlando, give everybody the chance to go to Disney World. Next year is actually going to be in DC, and the next couple of years are Chicago and Nashville.
Tom: In DC, okay. That's awesome. So you already got the dates planned and everything. That's totally cool. That's really cool. All right, well let's get those out to everybody so they can lock the time in. Is it always gonna be out this time of year?
Hannah: Next year will be the exception. So next year will be in November, in DC. And then in the future it will always be in the September time frame.
Tom: So November in DC next year. That'll be really interesting around the election and all that stuff. That'll be fun. DC is actually a really fun town. If you've never been to DC, bring your kids and go see all the stuff that's there — the Smithsonians. It's a lot of fun.
[The next few seconds of audio are garbled/overlapping in the source file — a partial phrase ("five people... we're gonna be choosy this year because...") doesn't clearly attach to either speaker and has been left out rather than guessed at.]
Tom: Well, congratulations on getting started, and I'm excited for the week and wish you all the success. Anything we can do, let us know. All right, bye.
Hannah: Thanks, Tom. Alright. Bye.
