Tom: All right, hey, welcome back to the Last Visit First Podcast, live from Home Care Home Base User Conference in Orlando. My next guest, Si, from CareXM. How you doing, buddy?

Si: Good. Thank you, Tom. Thanks for having me again.

Tom: Good, good, good. What's going on? What's the buzz here at the conference?

Si: The conference really feels like it's having a collective energy about what's now really possible with AI, and some of the long-range vision Home Care Home Base has presented throughout it. Being their twentieth year, I think it's very exciting right now.

Tom: Yeah, it was pretty cool to see the twenty years and all the pictures they have out there, and the videos and all that stuff. Can you imagine not being here?

Si: I can't imagine not being here, because you really have to be here to connect with the audience, to understand how some of the innovation they've been craving seems to be really just around the corner. And that anticipation and that excitement seems to be very fresh, comparing to any prior years as well.

Tom: Yeah, it does — it seems different this year. I think the leadership team at Home Care Home Base has done a really good job. Last night was fun, tonight's gonna be a blast, so we'll all be there at the white-out party. Talk about your business — what's going on at CareXM these days?

Si: Yeah, we've been growing alongside our partners such as Home Care Home Base. We're seeing more and more folks start to adopt the technology component, more towards triaging and controlling their own care coordination fabric. We've been, of course, like everybody else, figuring out what's our place inside of AI adoption — how do we dramatically improve the productivity of the users of our software as well?

Tom: Yeah, any more details you wanna give around that? Like, how are you doing it, what are you doing?

Si: Sure. We've actually, since we last talked — probably at Home Care 100 — we've actually rolled out this AI triage assistant tool to 100% of our internal users already, with some external users already adopting it, Amedisys and LHC, for example. And we've seen some dramatic improvement in the amount of triage encounters each nurse can handle, probably improved by more than 25% in terms of before and after. And we're not nearly done, because we think right after that use case, some of the follow-up and coordination after —

Tom: Wow, that's cool. So major adoption, major throughput. Really you're just clinically summarizing it, making it easy for a nurse — hey, pay attention to this one, this one.

Si: Exactly. So it summarizes it so that the triagist can be fully present to focus on the patient conversation. In addition to that, it's smart in the way that it's connecting back to the exact protocol and allows you to QA it at a more massive level — to see are the right questions being asked, are the assessments being done correctly.

Tom: That's awesome. All right, who's with you at the show?

Si: At the show, our full sales team, some of our account management team is here. It feels like we're really welcome, thanks to some of our partnership here as well, to be part of the Home Care Home Base community and family now.

Tom: Yeah, it's pretty interesting — they kinda set it up with all their partners around and invited us to come out here and interview a bunch of the partners and customers, and it's pretty fun, it's great. Big plans for the future?

Si: Yeah, and I think continuing on this sort of AI transformation exercise that we've been currently examining, and continuing to broaden the integration surface area together with Home Care Home Base — we've been talking a lot about how do we align with their roadmap, when everybody's trying to solve for the capacity constraint issue. How do we tie it into the point of care next version of it? How do we tie it into smart scheduling a little bit more? So we've been very intentional on figuring out how we can roll along with that roadmap as well.

Tom: Cool. All right, how big's the company now — number of users of the product?

Si: Yeah, right now on our platform, every day we see about a hundred and ten thousand active daily ADC on hospice, and about two hundred and sixty thousand active daily ADC on home health, especially with a recent BrightSpring rollout enterprise-wide.

Tom: Great, congratulations, man. That's really good, awesome. All right, if people wanna come work for you, or they wanna find you and become your customer, how do they find you?

Si: Thank you. You can find us on our website, carexm.com. And of course we're always at these industry trade shows, and hopefully we do more and more of these podcasts together.

Tom: It's been fun — Si's been on a couple of times, and glad you're here. They're always at every show, and Steve Molinari leads our sales team — he's running around here somewhere, so definitely most people in this industry know Steve. So thank you again for coming, and really appreciate you doing it.

Si: Thank you, Tom. Appreciate you. Thank you.
